Oper und Liedgesang

    Weder Oper noch Liedgesang, aber gestern habe ich auf youtube eine Gesamtaufnahme der "Blume von Hawaii" von 1952 entdeckt und da ich sturmfrei hatte, auch gleich angehört. Sehr hörenswert, viel weniger verkitscht als spätere Aufnahmen. Überwiegend kenne ich die Abraham-Melodien ja von Schallplatten bzw. aus den Filmen, daher fand ich diese Gesamtaufnahme sehr interessant und aufschlußreich. Man merkt da erst so richtig, wie weit er 1931 seiner Zeit voraus war.


    Willy Vosmendes, der Lilo-Taro singt, gehörte 1940 zum allerletzten Aufgebot von Bob Bibertis Meistersextett. Er starb schon 1955.

    Die Sutherland sang bei ihren Konzerten eher nur italienisch oder französisch (auch um sich vom deutschen Liedgesang bzw. von Kollegen wie Christa Ludwig usw. abzugrenzen).

    Vor fast 30 Jahren (im Sommer 1995) hab ich diese Aufführung von 1985 im WDR oder BR gesehen, die mich schwer beeindruckt hat. Vor einem Monat wurde sie bei yt offiziell veröffentlicht. Ich hab mir sogar frei genommen und einen Termin verschoben, um diese Oper ("Agrippina" von Händel) noch einmal zu sehen. ^^ :)


    Eine fabelhafte, authentische Inszenierung im Sinne des Komponisten... :thumbup:

    Ach schau, Oper/Operette macht man hier auch...


    Ich bin bei dem Thema nicht sonderlich breit aufgestellt, aber wo ich hier die ein oder andere Fledermaus sehe, muss ich auch mal meine liebste beitragen: Covent Garden, 1983/84 - besonders liebe ich den Sprachenmix aus Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und Italienisch und den Cast. Ich habe die DVD und schaue sie mir jedes Jahr an Silvester wieder sehr gerne an!

    (leider ist sie nicht mehr vollständig auf YT zu finden, aber folgender Ausschnitt immerhin noch)
